On Erraid - it's brilliant to be here again!
Big walk from Knockvologan to Carsaig Bay - 20km. Alan was accompanied by Ian, Scott and Willie towards Ardalanish. Then Scott and he continued to Kilvickeon Chapel for lunch with the other two. Then the mist came down and we all tramped across the moor to Shiaba where Alan and Scott continued off into the mist. Tricky navigation, lots of trees to circumvent and high bracken slowed their progress but they made Carsaig by 8.30pm ready for a big hot meal.
During the morning Ian was buzzed by a Sparrowhawk and had to lift walking poles above his head for protection!
dearg bhealach falls - 200ft straight into the sea Scott above the Nun's Pass
Carsaig to the bothy in Glen Forsa - 20km
Lots of rain overnight meant that we had wonderful rivers of white water flowing down every hillside.
Alan says: "Very wet underfoot. Full scale river crossing to get into Glen More. Path was flooded most of the way from Lochbuie. Took a very high traverse in Glen Forsa, found deer tracks and went directly to bothy to completely avoid the forest. Nobody at the both. Could see your breath!"

Glencoe to Glen Duror and then Kinlochleven to Loch Chiarain Bothy.
"Poor conditions. Drying out kit before getting bus to Kinlochleven. No route finding problems. Good wild walk."

At Corrour Station: "Legs feeling it today. Need a good early night and prayer to get to Crianlarich tomorrow"
BIG DAY - 40 miles from Ben Alder Bothy to Crianlarich YH.
"Yesterday was very tough! Some muscles really sore. Got up early today walked down to Loch Rannoch hoping for improvement but felt worse. Weather was awful with a strong SW headwind all day. Took decision to walk to Rannoch Station and get train to Crianlarich"
